Health and Fitness Fair 2010 cont'd

I guess that I should say that this all took place the weekend of January 8, 2010...so I am bit behind in my blogging..hee hee

This picture was taken after their talk to a pretty full room of people. They had us laughing and crying..it was awesome!

But..the day began pretty early. Filipe and Sione taught a boot camp at 7:30am. There was about 24 of us that participated. Mostly it was new members and contest winners that participated, but I got to sneak in there too since I booked them to come in the first place. We also had our own personal trainers take it...it was hard, but very fun. Not as horrible as on the Biggest Loser show at all :) However, my legs were sore for about 3 days...so it was a really good workout!

After boot camp, Filipe and Sione took Leanne's extreme cycle class! They LOVED it!!!! Thought is was the best class that they have ever taken!! WOOHOO!!! While they were in class, I helped the vendors get situated and then ran home to shower. When I got back, the guys were just getting out of spin class. They went back to the hotel to shower, and we got things ready for them to speak.

They ended up talking for a little over an hour and then signed autographs and had pictures taken for just about another hour...they were very gracious! We got them lunch and Leanne, Jonathan, myself, and the guys sat for another hour or so while they ate. We chatted about a lot of different things...they were basically just regular guys....again it was pretty much the perfect weekend!

Health and Fitness Fair 2010 Anytime Fitness

This picture was the beginning of an amazing weekend for me! Filipe and Sione Fa from Season 7 Biggest Loser came up here from the Phoenix area to teach a boot camp and then tell their story and try to motivate people to get off the couch and just move.

I met them at their hotel on Friday night (and had to have this picture taken) to chauffeur them to the restaurant that we had dinner. There was 11 of us at dinner and I sat beside Filipe. We had an amazing dinner. The guys kept us entertained with gossip from their season of the show and just letting us get to know them a little.

I was pretty much on cloud 9 all night! I really could not believe how star struck I was! Well..if you know me at all and listened to me at all from December 10 until January 8th..then you probably know just how star struck I was...hee hee.

We ate at Casa Bonita's and spent about 2 hours at dinner and then I drove them back to their hotel...I felt a little bit like stalker girl because I know so much about the show and about their season, but they made me feel really comfortable and not stalker-like!

The bummer of the night was that Nate earned his red belt in kung fu at the same time dinner was happening. It was the first belt ceremony that I have missed and I was pretty sad about it. I am very proud of Nate for completing the entire program for his age group in kung fu. He should be moving up to the next age group at the next ceremony in April..we'll see.
